Cat Hammer MS,RDN, LDN

Director of Sports Nutrition

Growing up a multiple sport athlete, Cat was always determined to achieve the highest level of performance possible. This led to her finding the importance that nutrition has on athletic performance.

She was recruited to play NCAA Division II softball at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where she became a 3-year starting catcher. At West Chester, she earned my Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. During this time, she worked at Maplezone Sports Institute as a Sports Performance Intern and earned a Personal Training Certification through NASM.

Cat was then accepted in the Graduate School at the University of Tampa where she earned my Master's of Science in Exercise and Nutrition Science. During this time, she worked as a Minor League Sports Nutrition Assistant for the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton, FL.

In order to pursue my dream of becoming a Sports Dietitian, she had to first complete a Dietetic Internship. Cat was matched to Virginia Tech's program where she completed the requirements to become certified as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Now she's currently a Sports Nutritionist at the University of Pennsylvania.

Cat's goal as a dietitian is to help elite athletes and active individuals learn how to fuel and appreciate the amazing things the human body is capable of.
